ARSENAL TOP THE CHARTS FOR 2013 FORM

Wenger May Have Found The Right Competitor For Giroud’s Spot

In Arsenal’s 38 games played in 2013, half of last season and the current campaign, Gunners are top of the standing for points amassed (82) – proving they can indeed pick up where they finished the 2012/13 season.

At present, Arsenal sit atop at the Premier League for the New Year – having lost just three games from 19 as things stand. Manager Arsene Wenger believes his side have the capability to remain above the rest, but face a difficult task as freescoring Manchester City are the bookies favourites to oust them to the top spot.

After a bad period of games around in December which saw the London outfit take just two points from Everton, Manchester City, and Chelsea, they got their title chase back on track with consecutive league wins against West Bromwich Albion & Newcastle.
Now the side have proven they can pick up
the most points from a 38-game haul, they need to do it over the whole course of one season. That’s always been the Gunners’ downfall. Minds will go back to the infamous 07/08 campaign which saw Arsenal top for six months accumulatively, only to win once from eight games between February & April – eventually finishing third.
