Virgin Bride Wanted? Brazil's
Catarina Migliorini Extends Sex Auction Following Marriage Proposal
The Brazilian student who
famously sold her virginity in an online auction – then tried to sell it again
– has extended the cut-off date for bidders because she has received a marriage
proposal from an Arabian millionaire.
Catarina Migliorini, 23, sold
her virginity for £483,000 to a Japanese millionaire named Natsu in the online
auction Virgins Wanted run by Australian filmmaker Jason Sisely.
However, she said she never
went through with the deal. Explaining the decision to re-sell her virginity,
she said: "The auction did not happen as expected due to disagreements
between Justin and me. I met Natsu in a restaurant in Sydney.
"He was not a man of 53
years as Justin said; he was young Japanese 21 years. I am still a virgin in
every way."
She relaunched the auction on
her own website, VirginsWanted2, with an original end date of 12 December.
However, this has now been extended to February, the Huffington Post reports.
Although her website has been
suspended, Migliorini claims she has received an offer of $440,000 (£266,000),
but is unsure because of a marriage proposal.
"I decided to continue
because I received a proposal from an Arab millionaire and I'm thinking about
it, [because] this proposal involves a possible marriage,
As summer is here now, and
[there are lots of] holiday parties, I decided to extend the time so I could
analyse everything well in advance."
Speaking of her potential
husband, she added: "He shows himself to be very romantic. He speaks 11
languages. He's between 35 [and] 40 years old. He's a handsome and very
intelligent man ... He lives in a beautiful mansion that he shows through the
webcam.
"He doesn't like that
I'm auctioning my virginity, he says that attitude doesn't fit with me because
I'm a very beautiful young woman, talented and intelligent. He would like to
marry me and wants to meet up with me in Malta so that we can get to know each
other personally ... I would bring family members on the trip, with everything
paid by him."
Her potential suitor also
offered her $1.5m to end the auction, but Migliorini said she feels ambivalent
about rushing such a big decision.
"I don't want to get
married because marriage involves a lot more than money. It involves feelings.
It's necessary to love another person unconditionally, respect him and make him
happy to live in harmony with himself.
"The fact that he comes
from a very different culture than mine isn't necessarily what pulls me away. I
want to love and to be loved for what I am and not for what I have and I
believe in that."
