12 Years A Slave' Wins Best Movie, Best Actor Honors At BAFTA Awards

Chiwetel Ejiofor, right, won the best actor award for his role in '12 Years a Slave' at the 2014 British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards, held Sunday at The Royal Opera House in London. Cate Blanchett, left, received the best actress trophy for her work in 'Blue Jasmine.'
The unflinching drama that captures an ugly slice of America’s history, “12 Years a Slave,” scored Sunday at Britain’s version of the Academy Awards, taking best film and actor honors.
