Group Forms Yeezianity Religion Based On Kanye West

An anonymous group has formed an “official” religion
centered around entertainer Kanye West called “Yeezianity,” according to Time
Magazine.

The group believes that the one who calls himself “Yeezus”
is a “divine being who has been sent by God to usher a New Age of humanity.”
Congregants are discouraged from disclosing their belief system to anyone
outside of their circle of worshipers who supposedly include mayors, CEOs and
cab drivers.
Membership is reportedly growing daily, a rep from the group
told Time. Even though Yeezites (or Yeezians) must keep their identities secret
and only reveal their affiliation to other believers, all of the congregants
will eventually be able to reveal themselves in their “true forms and the
Creative Age will finally begin,” states their website.
The believers have five pillars that they live by:
1. All things created must be for the good of all.
2. No human being’s right to express themselves must ever be
repressed.
3. Money is unnecessary except as a means of exchange.
4. Man possesses the power to create everything he wants and
needs.
5. All human suffering exists to stimulate the creative
powers of Man.
There are also a few Declarations of Faith that every Yeezus
worshiper must adhere to:
I believe I Am a God.
I believe Yeezus Is a God.
I believe in the creative power of Man.
I believe God wants Man to create in his Image.
I believe God wants Man to fully express himself.
I believe money has become unnecessary.
I believe Man has the power to create everything he wants
and needs.
I believe Yeezus will lead us into a new Age of Creativity.
I believe I will help usher in the new Age of Creativity.
Faith be in Yeezus.
Faith be in God.
Amen
The church, which began about a month ago by a Kanye West
fan, spoke to Time and told the publication why the performer inspired him to
start a religion. “First of all, he is the most honest person in our culture,”
the unidentified man said. “He has the highest moral standards and highest
integrity. He is the most-creative person. And as it’s typical with creative
people, he gets a lot of flack from the lower-minded masses. It’s not even that
they don’t like him, it’s that they don’t know what he’s doing because the
press gives it this negative spin all the time.”
