Police Arrests Kidnappers Of Female Magistrate In Delta
Operatives of the Delta State police command have arrested a
kidnap gang that abducted a female magistrate in the state.
The police command also rescued another kidnap victim in Edo
State.
“And in the course of interrogation, the suspects confessed
to kidnapping the daughter of Professor D. D. Daura along Udu road Warri on
February 18, 2012.
“They also confessed to kidnapping a female magistrate,
Ufuoma Koffi of Ughelli customary court on June 5, 2011 at Ughelli and Madam
Ovibi Ogbalor, owner of a coldroom along Isoko road, Ughelli.”
The police also paraded suspected cultists recently arrested
in Ughelli and Ibusa, during what he described as clamp- down on identified
cultists’ dens.
On the rescue of the kidnap victim, Muka said: "The
command has rescued one Chuks Ogbum at Ugoneki in Edo State after he was
kidnapped on the sixth of this month at Kwale and taken to Ugoneki bush where
his hands were tied.
“It was through information that the Special anti-kidnapping
squad in synergy with policemen at Ugoneki rescued the man unhurt after a gun
battle with the fleeing hoodlums.
